All About Estates

The time has come to say thank you and l’hitratot

After 408 blogs, I have decided to stop blogging with allaboutestates.  I want to thank the wonderful readers for all of your thoughtful comments and appreciation for the many years I have been contributing.

The work we do at Elder Caring is wonderful, meaningful, challenging and I can say, from the bottom of my heart,  our team truly makes a positive difference in people’s lives, on a daily basis.  Thank you for allowing me to share our experiences with you.

I have learnt some much from all of you, so thank you for the opportunity of appearing in your inbox on Monday mornings.  Elder Caring  Inc. continues to grow and expand and I look forward to remaining in contact with you.  I may contribute the occasional guest blog.

You can always find me at www.eldercaring.ca/ amiller@eldercaring.ca or at linked in.

My last allaboutestates takeaways:

Start the conversation:  earlier

Prepare your paperwork and understand the details of who you are appointing as your attorney for care or property: Ask them and then makes sure you document your wishes and provide them with a copy of the paperwork

Connect with your friends, family and community: reach out so you are active and participating in things that give you joy

Have an advocate: our healthcare/homecare is a difficult system to navigate

Aging healthily is a gift: do your best to grow well and grow wise. Life is short.

Thank you.

Well this is very sad news. 😔
I have followed you for many years at All About Estates and would frequently quote or send the link to anyone who needed to read your blog. I think that there are many people who still don’t know what they don’t know and will look for the information when they need it most. They need to plan for “When” not “If”
Wishing you only the Very Best in the future. Thank you again for your research and Wisdom! Cheers
